Southwest Philly Peace Project

Our Story

The Southwest Philly Peace Project is more than just an afterschool program—it’s a lifeline for youth aged 10 to 14 in West and Southwest Philadelphia. Operating every weekday from 3:30 to 6:30 PM, we offer a safe, nurturing environment for young people, especially those who have been directly impacted by violence.

What We Do

Therapy Sessions

Both individual and group therapy options are available to support emotional healing and personal growth.

STEM Education

Engaging activities that spark curiosity and foster a love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Culinary Arts

Hands-on cooking classes that teach valuable life skills and encourage healthy eating habits.

Wellness Initiatives

Programs focused on physical and mental well-being, including yoga, meditation, and fitness challenges.

Our Impact

Our program is crucial for breaking the cycles of violence that can trap families for generations. By providing a supportive space and the right tools, we empower young people to make positive, informed choices for their future. The skills and confidence they gain here extend beyond our doors, helping to build a more resilient community.

How You Can Help

We invite parents, educators, and potential donors to join us in this mission. By supporting the Southwest Philly Peace Project, you contribute to a brighter future for our youth and a safer, more connected community. Whether through volunteering, partnerships, or donations, your involvement makes a difference.
